Women Who Love Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding & Freeride Mountain Biking

Now that the holidays have passed, and we've all had a few days to test out (hopefully) all the goodies that we got under the tree - do you have any positive or negative comments about any new clothes and outdoor gear you got as gifts?

So far, I've only tested my Burton Shants & and a Burton Dryfit top - which I was pretty impressed with after snowshoeing the other day - sweating hard and it was wicking away pretty well. I've never had any Burton baselayers before, so I'm pretty excited that they were working so well. The shants are mid-weight, so I paired them with soft shell pants, I didn't want to test drive them on the really cold day after xmas without knowing how warm they'd be, but I think they will keep some warmth in. I also tried out my Cloudveil Run Don't Walk Zip Neck so far - which is also comfy and warm. Only downside is that hubby picked white, which is a pretty big gamble with me:)

I also got Burton Emerald Snowboard Bootsin white/gray with pink fur lining - which I need to get out on... time to go wax the board too! I'll report back on those soon. They do have a cool little toe pocket for those heat packets, so those should come in handy.
